Alginate antimicrobial dressing with silver.

Alginür Ag alginate antimicrobial dressing with silver is a highly absorbent, sterile, non-woven, antimicrobial dressing made of calcium G-alginate (with a high glucuronic acid content), carboxylmethylcellulose (CMC) and silver ions (silver sodium zirconium hydrogen phosphate) that releases silver ions in the presence of wound fluids. By absorbing exudate, the alginate forms a gel that aids autolytic debridement while maintaining a moist environment for optimal wound healing. The silver ions released in the presence of wound exudate are effective antimicrobial agents against a broad spectrum of microorganisms commonly associated with bacterial colonization and wound infection, with activity lasting up to fourteen (14) days, based on in vitro results.

INDICATIONS:

• For moderately to heavily exuding wounds
• For infected wounds and wounds with a high risk of infection
• Cavity tamponade
• Infected wounds
• Profuse exudation
• From II to IV degree of pressure ulcers
• Calf ulcer
• Diabetic foot
• Burns up to 2nd degree
• Pilodinal sinus
